Resting period
Under the church cemetery law, the resting period is at least 20 years; local cemetery rules may specify a longer period. Ask the administration for the applicable period and the term of the grave-use right.
Costs and cemetery fees
Example charges: coffin burial €753; burial of an urn in the ground €171. Grave-use rights are charged separately. A chapel ceremony of up to 30 minutes costs €146, plus €48 for each further started ten-minute period. A memorial and agreed care may add to the total. Ask the administration for the complete calculation.

Cemetery III outside Hallesches Tor is the burial place of E. T. A. Hoffmann and Adelbert von Chamisso. It also contains the family grave of pharmacist and industrialist Ernst Schering.
