Finding a grave
For a grave-location enquiry, contact the responsible cemetery administration at sg-fried@ba-sz.berlin.de. Give the deceased person’s name, the cemetery and any known birth, death or burial dates; ask for the section and plot number. After the resting period or plot rights expire, an administrative search incurs a charge even if it is unsuccessful.

Grave types and allocation
Selected coffin and urn plots, family plots, communal urn graves, maintained burial communities for coffins and urns, a Memoriam garden and a tree-based urn community.
Allocation of grave rights
The borough’s update of 20 August 2026 says advance purchase of ordinary selected coffin plots is unavailable; it also lists a restriction for selected urn plots. The Memoriam garden and tree community have separate reservation options.
Costs and cemetery fees
2026 tariff. Indicative administration charges with / without a funeral ceremony: selected coffin plot €1,029 / 850; selected urn plot €874 / 717. Anonymous communal urn plot €901 / 744, including grave care. Maintained urn community €836 / 679, plus the care contract and memorial. These are not the total cost of a funeral; funeral-director services, memorial approval, stonemasonry and any separate grave care are additional. New charges take effect on 1 January 2027; the tariff in force when the application is received determines the charge.
Funeral dates and ceremonies
Burials take place on Thursdays. The funeral director submits the registration to the administration and needs its written appointment confirmation.
Funeral hall and chapel
The accessible chapel seats about 50 and has an electronic organ. A wheelchair is available on request; toilets are adjacent.
Grave care and local services
Managed burial areas are maintained through Friedhof Treuhand Berlin. The borough names Blumeneuras, Lorenzstraße 18, telephone 030 772 50 04, as the local cemetery gardener.
Accessibility and facilities
The chapel is accessible. Ask the administration for a wheelchair; toilets are beside the chapel.
