Grave types and allocation
Only additional burials in existing coffin plots are offered.
Costs and cemetery fees
For an authorised additional interment in an existing selected plot, the 2026 individual charges are €520 basic cemetery fee per interment, plus €285 for a coffin or €97 for an urn. If plot rights must be extended, the administration fee is €14; the required extension period and additional services are assessed individually. If coffin storage is unavailable, the coffin-interment charge is reduced by €15. New charges take effect on 1 January 2027; the tariff in force when the application is received determines the charge.
Funeral dates and ceremonies
Burials on Tuesday and Friday and by arrangement. The funeral director arranges the individual appointment by telephone with the administration.

History and distinctive features
Lilienthalstraße Cemetery was built on former firing ranges beside Hasenheide as a Wehrmacht garrison cemetery. Increasing numbers of civilian victims of the Second World War were also buried here. In 1950 it was designated Berlin’s central war cemetery; Wilhelm Büning designed its buildings.
