History and distinctive features

Rummelsburg Cemetery opened in 1892 on Rummelsburger Straße in Friedrichsfelde. Its surviving monuments include the historic wall tomb of former local council head Adolph Schlicht. A war-grave section contains 316 individual graves of Second World War victims. The cemetery closed to burials in 1971.
