Location profile
History and distinctive features
The war cemetery on Wilsnacker Straße was established near the Moabit courthouse in 1945. Albrecht Haushofer, author of the “Moabit Sonnets”, is buried here. Sculptor Karl Wenke’s limestone stele with a bronze cross forms the main memorial, with reliefs using thorn and barbed-wire motifs.
