History and distinctive features
Alt-Lichtenrade Village Churchyard preserves graves of local farming families from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It closed for burials in the mid-1950s; one additional burial took place in 1999. The grounds lie beside the village church near the Giebelpfuhl pond; the cemetery on Paplitzer Straße is a separate site.
