History and distinctive features
Opened in 1835, the French Reformed cemetery on Liesenstraße is the resting place of Theodor and Emilie Fontane. In 2012 their grave regained two round-topped granite stelae reconstructed from historic photographs. The main avenues meet at a memorial to congregation members killed in the wars of 1864, 1866 and 1870–71.
