Parking at the cemetery
There is no visitor parking inside the cemetery grounds. Public on-street parking spaces are available on Tunnelstraße. These spaces are free of charge. Check the current signs on site.

For an existing grave, contact the East regional administration on +49 30 42200420. Have the name and, if possible, year of death ready and request the section, row and grave number.

Grave types and allocation
Available options: selected coffin graves, selected urn graves, row urn graves, sponsorship of historic graves.
Resting period
Under the church cemetery law, the resting period is at least 20 years; local cemetery rules may specify a longer period. Ask the administration for the applicable period and the term of the grave-use right.
Costs and cemetery fees
Example charges: coffin burial €753; burial of an urn in the ground €171. Grave-use rights are charged separately. A chapel ceremony of up to 30 minutes costs €146, plus €48 for each further started ten-minute period. A memorial and agreed care may add to the total. Ask the administration for the complete calculation.

History and distinctive features
Alt-Stralau Cemetery lies directly beside the River Spree and is documented from 1412. A maple avenue runs directly along the riverbank. The Lanz epitaph of 1795 on the church’s north exterior wall is the cemetery’s oldest surviving grave monument. A separate cemetery chapel was built in 1912.
