Finding a grave

For a grave-location enquiry, contact the responsible cemetery administration at Friedhof@reinickendorf.berlin.de. Give the deceased person’s name, the cemetery and any known birth, death or burial dates; ask for the section and plot number. After the resting period or plot rights expire, an administrative search incurs a charge even if it is unsuccessful.

Grave types and allocation

Communal urn area, selected urn plots and row urn plots in lawn. New coffin plots have not been allocated since 1 February 2006.

Allocation of grave rights

For selected coffin plots with rights already held on 31 January 2006, the transitional rule allows initial and further burials, urn interments and extensions until 31 December 2030.

Costs and cemetery fees

Calculated examples under the 2026 tariff for a new plot and one interment without a ceremony: selected urn plot €669, row urn plot €639, anonymous communal urn plot €704. They include the €52 administration charge, basic cemetery fee and interment; provision and maintenance are also included where required for that plot type. Memorials, additional services, cremation and funeral-director costs are excluded. New charges take effect on 1 January 2027; the tariff in force when the application is received determines the charge.

Grave care and local services

For a selected plot, clarify individual care arrangements when the plot is allocated. Where communal graves are offered, maintenance of the shared green area is part of that arrangement.

Location profile

History and distinctive features

Am Fließtal Cemetery was created on a former rye field to serve the growing population of the Märkisches Viertel. Hermann Fehling and Daniel Gogel designed its structured architectural layout. The grounds adjoin the Tegeler Fließ stream to the north, with access from Waidmannsluster Damm to the south.
