History and distinctive features
Schöneberg I Cemetery on Eisackstraße preserves the grave of former Schöneberg mayor Rudolph Wilde. Its notable artworks include Hermann Hosaeus’s 1907 sculpture “Der Schlaf” (“Sleep”), relocated within the cemetery after motorway construction affected the grounds. Burials ceased here in 2006.
