History and distinctive features
The churchyard beside Schöneberg’s village church preserves elaborate mausoleums built for the village’s wealthy farming families. A small Doric marble temple based on drawings by August Stüler marks the grave of architect Wilhelm Stier. Two simpler monuments follow sketches by Karl Friedrich Schinkel.
