Grave types and allocation
Available options: selected coffin graves, row coffin graves, anonymous lawn coffin graves, named lawn coffin graves, selected urn graves, row urn graves, anonymous communal urn areas, named communal urn areas, partner graves, tree burials, sponsorship of historic graves.
Resting period
Under the church cemetery law, the resting period is at least 20 years; local cemetery rules may specify a longer period. Ask the administration for the applicable period and the term of the grave-use right.
Costs and cemetery fees
Example charges: coffin burial €753; burial of an urn in the ground €171. Grave-use rights are charged separately. A chapel ceremony of up to 30 minutes costs €146, plus €48 for each further started ten-minute period. A memorial and agreed care may add to the total. Ask the administration for the complete calculation.

History and distinctive features
St.-Andreas-St.-Markus Cemetery was established jointly by two Friedrichshain congregations in 1885. Lime avenues and mature trees shape its grounds. Gustav Knoblauch designed the brick chapel built in 1900. A section containing 899 individual war graves commemorates victims of war and tyranny.
