Resting period
Under the church cemetery law, the resting period is at least 20 years; local cemetery rules may specify a longer period. Ask the administration for the applicable period and the term of the grave-use right.
Costs and cemetery fees
Example charges: coffin burial €753; burial of an urn in the ground €171. Grave-use rights are charged separately. A chapel ceremony of up to 30 minutes costs €146, plus €48 for each further started ten-minute period. A memorial and agreed care may add to the total. Ask the administration for the complete calculation.

History and distinctive features
St Petri-Luisenstadt Cemetery on Friedenstraße has a Neoclassical chapel designed by Walter Koeppen in 1911, terminating the main axis. Another significant funerary building is the Roesicke mausoleum, designed by Franz Schwechten in 1887.
